How to contribute to our vision

In the role of Operational controlling Head of Africa you will be involved in the development and implementation of the strategy to meet the overall Region's goals. With full responsibility for the project financials there will be a significant focus on the management of risks and opportunities. Stakeholder management will also be a key part of this function as well as providing financial direction for your business unit. As Head you will also ensure compliance to relevant guidelines and implement best practices across your business unit. You will also maintain and ensure adherence to standard processes for assessing, tracking and measuring risks and opportunities for the business in line with corporate guidelines. It will also be a key aspect to set leadership standards and management according to best practice through clear objectives, devising and communicating a strategy that includes performance management, people development and building team dynamics to ensure that the function is a cohesive high performing unit which achieves the targets and objectives set.

Additional responsibilities:
• Ensure financial planning, control and reporting procedures for forecasts, budgets and medium to long term financial plans to provide clarity of business performance against agreed goals.
• Monitor compliance of performance against contract to meet corporate guidelines, maximizing entrepreneurial opportunities to enhance company profitability.
• Maintain and ensure adherence to standard processes for assessing, recording and measuring NCC for the business in line with corporate guidelines.


What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
We are also expecting you to have significant (8-10 years) experience working in a project execution based environment working with senior financial & commercial responsibilities. It's required to have proven experience of leading and developing high performance teams. As educational background we expect you to have an accounting qualification.

As a person you are open-minded, positive, proactive, motivating and self-determined. You take responsibility for your work; you value people and you possess strong strategic innovative orientation as well as strong decision making. You are familiar with working in an international environment and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing. In addition, occasional travel must be expected to be part of the role. You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
